Presented at the Cour du Louvre, Spring/Summer 1983 became the broadest early press rupture in Yamamoto’s Paris sequence. The collection moved editorial attention from collective labels towards the wearability and technical precision of individual pieces, even as criticism continued to use reductive racial and wartime language.
