Introduction
Adam Andrascik is an American fashion designer who began collaborating privately with Guy Laroche in October 2014 and was publicly appointed in January 2015 to lead women’s ready-to-wear. Contemporary reports alternated between artistic director and creative director, while the house statement fixed his category remit.
Andrascik presented five Guy Laroche runway seasons from Autumn–Winter 2015/16 through Autumn–Winter 2017/18. The sequence used deconstruction, exposed backs, leather, biker forms and selective references to the 1970s and 1980s archive. Richard René was announced as his successor on 6 September 2017.
No evidence connects Andrascik to Guy Laroche fragrance, every licensed menswear line or the false Damir Doma succession sometimes attached to this period.
Design ethos
Andrascik treated familiar house codes as material to be opened, cut away and reassembled. Open backs, asymmetric construction, sliced tailoring and leather shifted the emphasis from polished continuity to visible intervention.
Film and archive references functioned as working prompts rather than decorative themes. Across five seasons he tested how a heritage name could support sharper proportions and a more exposed construction language while remaining inside a women’s ready-to-wear system.
