Alistair Blair worked with Laura Ashley as a womenswear designer and fashion consultant during 2004. The short engagement ended by the close of that year.
1998
Alistair Blair became a principal womenswear designer at Louis Féraud in the late 1990s and remained through the house’s early-2000s transition. The tenure is generally placed from about 1998 to 2004, although its opening boundary remains approximate.
1991
After initially taking charge of Balmain’s Ivoire ready-to-wear, Alistair Blair moved into the creative-director role in 1991. The promotion broadened his authority beyond the category-specific appointment of the previous year.
1990

Blair moved from Givenchy to Lagerfeld’s Chloé studio.
1978
Alistair Blair joined Givenchy in 1978 as a design assistant working across couture and ready-to-wear under Hubert de Givenchy. He remained with the house until 1980 before moving to Chloé.
1977
Blair entered Marc Bohan’s Dior studio before graduation.
