Introduction
Anna Lundbäck Dyhr joined the Joseph design studio in November 2018 and was appointed Co-Creative Director with Frederik Dyhr on 14 October 2020. The promotion gave an existing member of the studio shared responsibility for womenswear, ready-to-wear and accessories from the Paris atelier after Susana Clayton’s tenure.
The Dyhrs led Joseph through nearly four years of paired creative direction. Their period maintained the house’s emphasis on a timeless wardrobe of luxury essentials and coincided with a return to operating profit in the year ending November 2022. Fall 2024 and Spring/Summer 2025 are the latest collections in the supplied record directly credited to the pair; both left Joseph in July 2024.
Design ethos
Lundbäck Dyhr’s Joseph work was rooted in continuity: tailoring, knitwear and practical luxury were treated as repeatable wardrobe elements whose value came from proportion, fabric and use. Shared creative direction kept the studio close to the brand’s established vocabulary, and seasonal changes in styling and fabrication carried the fashion message.
Her contribution also reflects an internal-studio model of authorship. Having joined Joseph before becoming Co-Creative Director, Lundbäck Dyhr moved from the design team into shared leadership, making studio knowledge and product continuity central to the period’s identity.
