Introduction
Frederik Dyhr joined Joseph in September 2020 and was appointed Co-Creative Director with Anna Lundbäck Dyhr on 14 October. Together they led womenswear, ready-to-wear and accessories from the Paris atelier, succeeding Susana Clayton and establishing a paired creative structure that remained in place until July 2024.
The Dyhr period centred Joseph on its long-standing idea of a complete luxury wardrobe and accompanied a commercial stabilisation that returned the company to operating profit in the year ending November 2022. Fall 2024 and Spring/Summer 2025 are the latest collections in the supplied material directly attributed to the duo. Their departure in July 2024 opened the way for Mario Arena’s current London-based mandate.
Design ethos
Dyhr’s Joseph work operated through shared authorship, with seasonal collections developed as coherent wardrobes across clothing and accessories. The house’s established strengths in tailoring, knitwear and understated luxury remained the base, with proportion and material carrying much of the visual change from season to season.
The co-directorship also gave Joseph a stable internal creative structure during a period of business recovery. Dyhr’s contribution is best understood through that continuity: maintaining a recognisable product language, supporting the Paris studio and carrying the house from the post-2018 transition into the collections that preceded Mario Arena’s appointment.
