Introduction
Ina Lekiewicz is a Polish photographer, filmmaker and editor working across fashion imagery and publishing. Her practice developed through photography and moving image before expanding into editorial leadership. Since September 2021 she has served as Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Polska, where her remit spans print, digital, video, events and cultural coverage.
As an image-maker, Lekiewicz has worked with fashion publications and brands on portraiture, editorial photography and collection films. Her direction favours narrative settings and physical movement, using location and atmosphere to give fashion imagery a cinematic structure. Her later editorial role has extended that visual sensibility into commissioning and the broader identity of a national Vogue edition.
Lekiewicz directed two consecutive ERDEM collection films during the pandemic. Spring/Summer 2021 was shot on a dirt path in Epping Forest with styling by Ib Kamara, while Autumn/Winter 2021 used the empty Bridge Theatre and movement direction by Edward Watson. Together the films established a distinct presentation language for a period when the house could not rely on a conventional audience-facing runway.
Design ethos
Lekiewicz’s photography and film use location as an active part of the image. Natural landscape, theatre architecture and the movement of bodies establish rhythm before clothing details come forward, giving editorial fashion a sense of narrative progression.
Her work tends to favour restrained framing and physical texture over excessive polish. In moving image, gesture and pace carry the emotional tone; in editorial direction, that same attention appears through sequencing, commissioned photography and the relation among fashion, art and cultural subjects.
The ERDEM films show this approach clearly. Epping Forest gives ornate clothes a raw, open setting, while the Bridge Theatre turns backstage tension and ballet movement into the organising idea of the film. The clothes remain legible, but atmosphere determines how they are encountered.

Career history
2021
Autumn/Winter 2021 continued ERDEM’s film-led presentation period inside the empty Bridge Theatre in London. Ina Lekiewicz directed the film, with Royal Ballet principal Edward Watson shaping the models’ movement around the collection’s ballet references.
2020
Spring/Summer 2021 was presented through a film shot in Epping Forest during the pandemic disruption of the London fashion calendar. Ina Lekiewicz directed and photographed the project and Ib Kamara styled it, establishing a cinematic presentation language for the house during the period of restricted physical shows.
