Nazareno Fonticoli

Nazareno Fonticoli was an Italian master tailor and a co-founder of the luxury menswear house Brioni, which he established in 1945 alongside his business partner Gaetano Savini. Born in Penne in 1923, Fonticoli was a pivotal figure in the post-war revitalization of Italian fashion, opening the first Brioni boutique on Rome’s prestigious Via Barberini. His technical expertise and commitment to hand-stitched excellence were instrumental in defining the 'continental' Italian style that would go on to achieve global acclaim.
