Tom Ford is a global luxury house founded in 2005 by its namesake, the American designer and filmmaker. The brand emerged following Ford’s highly successful tenure as creative director at Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, initially launching through a partnership with Marcolin Group for eyewear and a fragrance line with Estée Lauder. It quickly expanded into a full lifestyle brand, debuting its first menswear and accessory collections in 2007 at the New York flagship store on Madison Avenue, followed by a comprehensive womenswear line in 2010.
The brand is currently owned by The Estée Lauder Companies, which completed its acquisition of the fashion house in 2023.
In 2024, Haider Ackermann was appointed as the creative director, succeeding Peter Hawkings to lead the brand’s design vision across all categories, including ready-to-wear, accessories, and beauty. Known for a sleek and provocative aesthetic, the house maintains a significant international presence in over 100 markets. Its offerings are defined by high-quality materials, Italian craftsmanship, and a signature style that often references mid-century design and classic tailoring.
