Overview
Boris Bidjan Saberi is an eponymous menswear label established in Spain in 2006–2007 by Munich-born designer Boris Bidjan Saberi. Its first recovered collection, Spring/Summer 2008, was presented in Barcelona, followed by a Paris presentation for Autumn/Winter 2008–2009. From an early workshop in Monistrol de Montserrat, Saberi developed an independent practice centred on anatomical pattern cutting, treated leather, dense denim and garments designed to change through wear.
The label became a regular presence in Paris menswear and expanded into womenswear, footwear, eyewear, fragrance and performance or image projects without building a conventional luxury-house hierarchy. In 2013 Saberi launched the technically oriented child brand 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi. The mainline later consolidated its archive, studio, production and flagship functions in a former textile factory in Barcelona’s Poblenou district, where material development and finishing remained closely controlled.
The historical Barcelona production and operating structure closed in 2025 after manufacturing conditions made the existing model unviable. Spring/Summer 2026 was described as the final delivery produced through that configuration. The principal Spanish company survived, absorbed a related laboratory company and changed its corporate remit in 2026, but no verified public relaunch or new seasonal practice had appeared by the research cutoff. The public label is therefore recorded as dormant rather than treated as legally erased or permanently abandoned.
Philosophy
Saberi approached clothing as material architecture. Vegetable-tanned horsehide, felt, denim, wax, resin, metal compounds and cold dyes were cut, washed, coated and moulded to produce garments with weight, abrasion and visible change. Recurring jackets and trousers functioned as working forms that could be altered through different treatments rather than replaced by an entirely new vocabulary each season.
The silhouette joined protective structure to bodily movement: elongated torsos, articulated knees, low crotches, internal harnesses, asymmetric closures and narrow sleeves were balanced by draped or wrapped volumes. Saberi connected German industrial discipline with Persian and wider Middle Eastern garment traditions, while skateboarding, hip-hop, climbing and military clothing supplied practical demands rather than decorative references.
The production model was inseparable from the design. Local specialist labour, in-house finishing and direct control over materials allowed variation between individual pieces, but also limited scale. The 2025 shutdown followed Saberi’s refusal to preserve the label by lowering its manufacturing standards or transferring the historical system into a cheaper, less controlled structure.

Button TextOn 31 March 2026 Boris Bidjan Saberi SL absorbed Laboratory B.B.S 2016 SL, changed its registered address and adopted a broader object centred on creative direction, design and visual strategy. The filing proves legal continuation after the fashion operation closed, but it does not establish a revived label, consultancy launch or new collection practice.
Saberi informed retail partners in May 2025 that the historical production company and operating configuration would close at the end of July because the required manufacturing standards were no longer viable under existing conditions. Spring/Summer 2026 was delivered as the final seasonal output from that structure, but the statement did not establish permanent retirement or the disappearance of the public name.
A corporate segregation created dedicated operating entities for 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi and Laboratory B.B.S, with operations dated from 27 November 2017 and registry publication following in 2018. The reorganisation separated parts of the portfolio while Boris Bidjan Saberi SL remained the controlling company at formation.
BORIS BIDJAN SABERI SL began operations on 1 April 2010 and was registered later that month with Saberi as sole shareholder and sole administrator. The act formalised the operating company several years after the public label had already been established and must not replace the brand’s earlier foundation date.
Saberi directed the mainline from its establishment through the closure of the historical production system in 2025. He controlled collection design, material development, pattern systems and the visual logic of the atelier rather than serving under a separate house owner or appointed creative lead.
Boris Bidjan Saberi established his eponymous label after completing fashion studies in Barcelona, with the formation period bounded to 2006–2007. The first recovered public collection followed for Spring/Summer 2008, so the foundation is recorded without inventing a single legal or presentation date.
